Russian Salad
Russian Salad is basically a side dish from Russia as the name indicates. Making this salad is very easy and also get prepared in very less time. So, if you want to make something different from regular salad, give an attempt to this dish.
Discussing the recipe in detail with the tips: Firstly, It is important to cook vegetables till 80 %. I left 20% as I want some crunchy flavor of vegetables. Do not overcook and do not cover while boiling vegetables as the color of vegetables might lose if you cover. Next, Mixing vegetables with the prepared cream must be done gently as the vegetables are cooked and may be chances that they break if you apply force on it.
Presentation is very important if we want to make our dish perfect for that you can present in either the same way I presented or you can also dress in some corns and peas etc.
Step by step instructions
- Heat a kadhai (wok). Add water in it till it half-filled and bring it to boil.
- As the water starts boiling, add 1/2 tsp salt to it.
- Followed by vegetables(potato, carrot, french beans).
- Cook vegetables till 80% done.
- After 3 mins, add green peas and sweet corn to it. Check-in between the vegetables is done or not.
- Take out the vegetables on a plate and allow them to cool down.
- Take a mixing bowl, add 3 tbsp mayonnaise and 1 tbsp of fresh cream.
- Followed by a pinch of salt and black pepper powder.
- Mix all the things really well.
- Add cooked vegetables to this.
- Give a gentle mix.
- Russian Salad is ready to serve.

• While boiling, do not close the lid.
