Fruit Chaat Recipe: Fruit Salad: easy, tasty, and healthy all-time favorite dish.

Everyone is aware of this name” Fruit Chaat” – one of the easiest and healthiest chaat ever. A combination of a variety of fruits along with some spices is known as Fruit Chaat or Fruit Salad.

There are multiple good things about this salad or chaat which makes it more lovable:

  • you can use any fruit of your choice.
  • it is one of the easiest and quickest chaats to make.
  • can be served as a full meal or as an evening snack.
  • light on the stomach and high on flavors.

Summers are approaching and at this time we need to cut down the calories we gain during winters, so for that, I am sharing this recipe. I prefer to make and enjoy this mostly during summers because we had many colorful fruits during summer like the vibrant red color of watermelon, bright yellow color of mangoes, the tangy green color of grapes, etc.

As I said above, you can use any fruit of your choice, though there are some common fruits like banana, apples, pomegranate which give nice taste and weightage to the chaat. In Delhi, people also used boiled and fried potatoes in it to balance the flavors of fruits, if you wish you can add that also. Sprinkling Chaat Masala is optional, but it provides some sweet, spicy, and tangy flavor. If you are planning to consume during fast then skip the masala.

In Delhi, this is one of the important street food like Golgappa and Dahi Papadi. There you can get in many variations like Tawa fry chaat, fruit and veg mix chat, plain chaat, etc. Also, if you are on a weight loss journey then this will act as a Magician and cut down extra fats from the body.

Points to Remember while making Fruit Chaat:

  • Cut the fruits in large chunks as it prevents the fruits to be messy while mixing.
  • Cut banana and apples at the time of serving.
  • Sprinkle Fruit Chaat Masala at the time of serving otherwise the fruit will release the moisture and the whole Fruit Chaat becomes soggy.

You can serve it as a meal or serve it to your family and friends as a party starter. This also suits the occasion of small get-togethers and birthday parties.

Even at the marriage parties, this salad holds a special section, and people grab it in huge amounts as they go for some street food, etc. Make sure you do not get too much dependent on this as Excess of anything is harmful.
