This is an Italian dish usually made with mushrooms and garlic as the name indicates. The most interesting thing about this dish is it consumes only 15 minutes of yours. So, even if you are in a hurry then also you can make it. These buttery button mushrooms are just moth melting and can be served in many forms like roti, chapati, plain rice, with noodles and also as an inside of Sandwich and wrap.
It is made with very fewer ingredients and if we talk about taste it’s just wow! Sometimes ago, we were feeling of having the same types of mushrooms recipe, then one day I prepared this for a change, and from that day onwards this is our favorite mushroom recipe.
Tips for Garlic Mushrooms:
- You can also use whole mushrooms instead of slicing just increasing the cooking time.
- Do not slice mushrooms too thin.
- I am using a few more ingredients except garlic but you can go with garlic only.
- The butter used here is important as it helps the other ingredients to stick on mushrooms and gives a creamy flavor.
- Use fresh mushrooms. Also, wash properly before using it.
- You can opt for any other variety of mushrooms.
Step by step instructions
- Take a pan and add 1 tbsp oil to it.
- As the oil becomes warm, add onion followed by green chilies. Cook for about 2 minutes on low flame or till the onion changes color.
- Add mushrooms to it.
- Followed by salt as per taste. Mix well cover and cook for about 2 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, add garlic to it. Mix and cook till mushrooms cook. After 5 minutes, mushrooms cooked well.
- Add a pinch of red chili flakes which is optional.
- Followed by 1 tsp butter and coriander leaves.
- Saute it for a minute so the butter melts and coats on mushrooms.
- Garlic Mushroom is ready. Transfer on a plate and serve hot.

Ingredients
- 200 gm button mushroom thick sliced
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 2 green chilies finely chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves finely chopped
- red chili flakes a pinch
- 1 tsp butter
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions

Notes
• Make sure to chop each ingredient very fine except mushroom.
• Adjust the spicy flavor as per your taste.
• Increase/ decrease the quantity of ingredients as per the number of people.
