Turmeric- Ginger Tea

We have been using both Turmeric and Ginger from a very early age. Old people use these things to cure several diseases.

Turmeric and Ginger both are used in our cookhouse on a daily basis and on the other hand both the things are known for its effective medicinal properties.

 

Ginger contains Gingerol which has the highest medicinal properties. Consumption of Ginger helps to reduce the blood sugar level, relieve cold, cough, and flu. Also, it has the properties of curing gastric problems and many more. Turmeric contains curcumin which helps us to fight digestive problems and heal the wounds to the earliest. Turmeric-Ginger Tea can be taken in the early morning on an empty stomach which helps in weight- loss. Adding lemon will slightly reduce the harsh flavor of turmeric and ginger. Also, adding honey is optional. Try to avoid adding sugar to it. Drink it when it is lukewarm.

Step by step instructions

  1. Take 1 cup of water in a pan. Bring it to boil.
  • Add 1 tsp ginger.
  • Followed by 1/4 tsp turmeric.

  • Keep the flame high and bring it to boil. As it starts boiling reduce the flame to low- medium and boil for 10 minutes

  • After 10 minutes, off the flame and transfer it to a cup. Allow it to cool slightly for 2 minutes.
  • After 2 minutes, add 4-5 drops of lemon juice and 1/ tsp honey.
  • Mix well. Turmeric- Ginger Tea is ready.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4-5 drops lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp honey
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Take 1 cup of water in a pan. Heat it.
