Lady’s finger: Bhindi: Okra is the name given to a green-colored finger-shaped vegetable having a pointed end and a bulge of light green color at the top which is generally discarded. Inside it, there are many round white seeds which are some sweet and some have no flavor. The stem part of this plant is used to extract the fiber.

The texture of okra is very sticky because of the presence of slime and sometimes it is very irritating to cut it. Even, not everyone likes this vegetable to have it in their meal. Apart from these problems, Okra has a large number of nutrients that are not only beneficial for our health but also for the skin and hair too.
Health Benefits:
This vegetable is the richest source of fiber, Vitamin C and B, Potassium, Folic acid, etc. The slime present in the okra helps to bind the cholesterol, also collects toxins from the liver, and throws them out of the body.
It is useful for preventing a number of health problems like,

For SKIN
One DIY from okra is: Boil a few ladyfingers in water till they become soft and then mash them properly in water. Apply this mixture to your face for 10 minutes and then wash your face. Repeat it 2 times a week and you will notice the change. Your skin becomes soft and acne-free. Also, this helps to remove the damaged skin caused by sunstrokes.
For HAIR
DIY: Cut the okra into pieces and boil in water till they become soft. Once done. mash it in water and strain the mixture. Add a few drops of any essential oil just to have its fragrance like the smell of okra will definitely not allow you to put the prepared gel in your hair. Use this as a conditioner and you will find that your hair becomes shiny and thick.
