Banana

Banana is the most consumed fruit not only in India but worldwide for a number of good reasons. Bananas are loaded with nutrients in many ways like

  • rich source of potassium
  • high dietary fiber
  • high carbohydrate
  • a good amount of vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, etc.,

Also, it helps to reduce:

  • risk of cancer
  • asthma
  • digestive problems
  • high blood pressure
  • heart diseases
  • kidney stones and many more.

Normally, One banana has 110-125 calories of which there is no sodium and no cholesterol.

 

Talking about the storage process of bananas,  Bananas require a warm temperature to ripe fast, whereas if you keep bananas in the refrigerator they will stay fresh for about 8 days (the outer layer turns brown or black but the fruit inside remains good). Moreover, you can also keep bananas in a deep freezer and use them within 6 months. At many places in the world, frozen bananas are used.

 

 

Do you know? Raw (Green) banana has a large amount of starch but as the banana ripe turns yellow the starch turns into sugar.

 

Amazing Uses of Banana and Banana Peel:

  • You can simply rub the banana peel on the shoes, it works as a polish.
  • To make your silver shine, rub the banana peel over it.
  • You can make banana face pack as well by simply adding some few drops of lemon juice into the mashed banana and apply it for 15 minutes once a week.
  • If you are suffering from depression, start eating a banana before bedtime, it will definitely help you.
  • Rubbing banana peel thrice a week will give you shiny teeth.
  • Have you ever heard about instant ice cream? No ! then get ready to try this, all you need to have a frozen banana, honey, dry fruits of your choice and cocoa powder (replace with chocolate syrup), blend all the things together and your instant creamy ice cream is ready.
  •  Banana peel will make your skin acne-free, just rub it 3-4 times a week.
  • Banana also helps you to cure cracked heels, take a banana, mash it and apply it on your feet for 10 minutes, wash with cold water. Do it several times a week and you will definitely notice the change.
