Dalgona Coffee-2 ways
Dalgona Coffee: Dalgona Coffee 2 ways: Cold Coffee: Hot Coffee: coffee with attractive foamy texture.
Dalgona Coffee is originated from South Korea made with just 3 ingredients coffee, sugar, and water. This coffee is known for its frothy and foamy structure. This coffee gain popularity as a South- Korean actor Jung II Woo visited Macau and there he was served this drink. But In India, this similar kind of coffee is already a part which we usually called phenti hui coffee or beaten coffee.
Here, I am showing the method of beating coffee with a whisker, you can replace it with a fork as well. Also, If you have an electric whisker, then it saves a lot of time of yours.
Points to remember :
- Measurement of Ingredients: This needs to be followed strictly for the perfect result. Coffee is generally bitter in taste and hence here I added sugar just double the amount of coffee which definitely balances the bitter flavor of the coffee.
- Addition of water: Water should be added in a batch of 1 tsp. If you add more water at a time then it will take more time to get the stiff peaks.

Here I am sharing 2 flavors of coffee- Simple one and Choco. For both the flavors, the base is the same. For choco flavor, we simply add a pinch of cocoa powder and few drops of chocolate essence. If both the things are not available with you simply add grated chocolate and beat for another 1 minute.
Interesting Facts: The end result of fluffy coffee resembles similar to whipping cream. So you can decorate cakes with it. Also, you can keep it in the refrigerator for the next few days in an airtight container. Also, adding hot milk instead of cold milk will result in cappuccino.
Step by step instructions
Preparing base coffee
- Take a bowl and add instant coffee to it.

- Followed by sugar.

- Add 1 tsp of water. Mix it well.

Whisk for 1 minute. Add 1 tsp water.

- Whisking for about 4-5 minutes, the color of coffee is very light which indicates it is ready.

Preparing Dalgona Coffee
- Take a glass and fill it 3/4 with milk.

- Take beaten coffee and top it on milk.

- Garnish with some coffee. Simple Dalgona Coffee is ready to drink.

Preparing Choco Dalgona Coffee
- Mix a pinch of cocoa powder and a few drops of chocolate essence in the beaten coffee.

- Beat it for 1 more minute.

- Take a glass and fill it 3/4 with milk.

- Top the milk with choco dalgona coffee.

Dalgona Coffee-2 ways
Ingredients
- 2 tsp instant coffee
- 4 tsp sugar
- 3 tsp water
- a pinch cocoa powder
- 2 glass milk
Instructions
Preparing base coffee
- Take a bowl and add instant coffee in it.
- Followed by sugar.
- Add 1 tsp of water. Mix it well.
- Whisk for 1 minute. Add 1 tsp water.
- Whisk for 2 minutes with normal speed.
- After 2 minutes, add 1 more tsp of water and whisk untill the soft peak forms.
- Whisking for about 4-5 minutes, the color of coffee is very light which indicates it is ready.

- Take a glass and fill it 3/4 with milk.
- Take beaten coffee and top it on milk.
- Garnish with some coffee. Simple Dalgona Coffee is ready to drink.
