Sweet Makhana Raita

A quick and easy side dish to serve during normal days also. This Sweet Makhana Raita is especially for women who need quick and constant energy to work for the family.
Discussing the recipe in detail: Curd should be fresh ad smooth in texture. Here, I used a little less sugar because dry fruits also contain some amount of sugar. This small and quick dish is packed with lots of nutritional values, the goodness of dry fruits helps you to gain energy for the full day.
Also, the foxnuts give a thick texture and weight to the dish. Coconut here acts as a cooling agent and keeps you hydrated.
Step by step instructions
In a mixing bowl, add curd.
- Add water and whisk it well to give it a smooth texture.
Add makhana to it and allow to rest for 15 mins so the makhana soaked very well.
Add sugar powder and mix it well.
Now, add grated coconut.
Followed by chironji, kishmish and chopped dry fruits to it.
Mix all the things nicely. Sweet Raita is ready to eat.

Ingredients
- 10 gm makhana foxnuts
- 100 gm curd whisked
- 2 tbsp fresh coconut grated
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp chironji
- 1 tbsp raisins kishmish
- 1 tbsp cashews & almonds chopped
Instructions

Notes
2. You can add dry fruits of your own choice.
3. You can replace sugar powder with sugar but make sure it dissolves properly.
4. If making for kids, then make sure to use dry fruits powder rather than dry fruits.
