3G Paste
Many of us used to purchase Ginger-Garlic-Green Chili paste from the market. But do you know how they were made? Obviously with the raw materials and also they add any kind of preservatives for the long life. So, Today I am sharing a recipe for three different pastes which you can store for about 1 year. For their long life, we will also add natural preservatives to it.
Ginger, Garlic, and Green Chili are the basic ingredients of our kitchen. In most of the dishes, we use these as a combination. But if I have to prepare food to offer God, then I eliminate the garlic from the meal. Earlier, people used to make fresh paste daily with the help of mortar and pastel as it gives a fresh aroma to each ingredient.
But nowadays, during the busy schedule people find it difficult to peel and make paste daily, then we switch our daily process to weekly process or monthly process. I prepare this Ginger-Garlic-Green Chili paste every Sunday for 1 week.
Natural Preservative: You can use Oil, Salt, and Turmeric while making a paste. All three works as a preservative and provide a good shelf life to the paste. You can choose anyone or any two out of these three.
A few points need to be remembered related to this paste-like: Why is it necessary to use? What are the best ways to store? How to make it?
Why is it necessary to make?
- It saves time. You don’t have to peel and make paste daily.
- If your kids do not like to eat ginger, garlic, and green chili and separate chunks from the food then it is a must-needed thing for you to make this paste.
- Sometimes, these veggies are not available in the market or sometimes the prices are much higher than expected, in that case, this paste is very much helpful.
What are the best ways to store?
- Keep it in a clean glass container. If you do not have that, wash any plastic container, dry it in sun for 30 minutes then store.
- You can keep it in a refrigerator for 3 months and in a deep freezer for about 1 year.
- If making ginger- garlic paste, then add 50% of both the paste in a separate container, mix well, and store.
Health Benefits of Ginger, Garlic, and Green Chili: Both Ginger and Garlic helps in immunity-boosting by providing various health benefits. Also, cold and cough-like problems did not affect us if we include them daily in our diet. Green Chili helps in proper digestion.
