Dahi Sandwich is one of the simplest types of sandwich usually prepared in almost no time. This dish is much similar to Mayo Sandwich and the best option for those who generally avoid Mayo.
I also termed this sandwich as Cold Sandwich because unlike other sandwiches I am not roasting it or cooking it, this is just using cold hung curd so I called it a cold sandwich. This dish can also be a part of Fireless Cooking Category.
I am using fresh hung curd made at home but if you are running with a shortage of time you can also use store-bought hung curd or any kind of yogurt-like greek etc. Similarly, you can use any vegetables of your choice as I am using carrot, capsicum, few french beans, and cucumber. You can even use cabbage, lettuce, onion, corn kernels, etc.
If I talk about spices, I used only salt and black pepper powder as I am preparing it for my daughter but if you are making if for adults you can use red chili flakes. Furthermore, for some sweet flavor, I used mayonnaise here, you can replace it with a little amount of sugar.
For your hungry kids or even adults, this can be the best option as an evening snack or Brunch also. You can also accompany this sandwich dish with a dip of your choice and also with potato chips.
Some tips for this nutritious dish are:
- If you find some sour taste in curd, balance it while adding some sugar in it.
- You can use any vegetables of your choice.
- Make sure to use thick and fresh curd.
- As this dish contains curd, suggesting consuming it right away after it gets ready.
Step by step instructions
Preparing Stuffing
- Take a bowl, and put hung curd in it.
- Add 2 tbsp mayonnaise to this.
- Now, add chopped vegetables like carrot, capsicum, french beans, and cucumber.
- To this, add black pepper powder.
- Last but not least add salt to it.
- Mix all the things nicely. Stuffing is ready.
Preparing Sandwich
- Take bread slices of your choice(brown/white). It should be edge free.
- Apply butter to one side of bread.
- Now, spread stuffing on one bread.
- Cover it with another bread slice.
- Curd Sandwich is ready to eat.

For Sandwich
- 4 bread slices brown/ white
- butter as required
For Stuffing
- 50 ml hung curd
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 carrot finely chopped
- 1/2 capsicum finely chopped
- 1/2 cucumber finely chopped
- 5-6 no french beans finely chopped
- black pepper powder a pinch
- salt to taste
Instructions

Notes
